We will be meeting at the Custom Catering Center in Blacksburg at 10:00am on Sundays. Under the current circumstances, we will be limiting our services to about an hour in length. There is no need to dress up; please be comfortable in your normal weekend clothes. As you enter, you will be welcomed by greeters who can help you navigate the facility. You can help yourself to donuts, coffee, and tea in the Lobby as you make your way in. As it gets close to 10:00am, you’ll want find a seat for you and your family and we’ll get started shortly.
Our Services will Include:
We will begin our service by singing 3 or 4 songs in worship to God. Worship is an expression, thus you’ll see people engage by singing, lifting their hands, and bowing down. There’s not one right expression, except that it’s genuine (and not too distracting). This time will last about 15-20 minutes.
After worship, we will have some brief announcements and a pastor will teach clearly from the Bible with the goal of helping you understand it and apply it to your life. Expect the teaching to last 30-40 minutes.
We will end our services by singing one last worship song and offering everyone a chance to receive prayer from a trusted member of our prayer team. It may seem scary that we invite those that would like prayer to the front, but it’s really a practical matter so we can know who would like prayer. Take courage and get prayer if you would like!
KIDS & Youth
We have a kid’s program for those 0-4 years old. Kid’s 5 and up will join us in the service. We will continue to provide parents with coloring pages, activities, and snacks to make the service more enjoyable for the kids.
Visit our Ascent Kids page for more details about the kid’s program and our health policy.
After service is a great time to stick around and meet a few people. We encourage you to continue conversations on the way out to cars and over lunch.
