Ascent YOUTH.

Youth VISION

Ascent middle and high school youth group is a place where students can enjoy connecting with others their age, while learning from each other and leaders about how to follow Jesus. We strive to make our meetings fun and exciting, but we also make sure to get to real topics from the Bible that challenge and encourage the students in their journey of following Jesus.

Youth are invited to participate in the service for worship and announcements, and then meet with the youth group leaders during the Bible teaching time of the Sunday morning service. Separately, our youth group meets on the first Sunday of the month, from 12pm-2pm, following our Sunday morning service. A time for games and fun followed by a free lunch is provided, then we have a Bible teaching, discussion and prayer.

BIBLE discussion

Each month features a topic relating to following Jesus, from “prayer” to “how to tell others about Jesus.” In each Bible discussion, we focus on how to apply the Bible to the life of a middle or high school student. The girls and the guys break off for this portion of the youth group.

PRAYER ministry

Following our Bible discussions, we always take time to pray for each other. Students are encouraged to receive prayer and pray for one another in the group.

FRIENDSHIPS

We want middle and high school students to build great friendships at Ascent Church, the kind that will encourage and strengthen them as they develop in their relationship with God.
